Start: Meeting opened at 7:05 pm Previous Minutes: Read by the Clerk and accepted by the DPC as written. Public Hearings: Review of the “Land Use & Development” section of the draft Town Plan was held. Recommendation to breakdown the conserved lands “Public & Private” in the table and include land enrolled in the “Current Use” program. In the objectives (#3), change the word preservation to conservation. In the recommendations, (#1) change the word preserved to protected. Add an additional recommendation that states “Town should consider objectives when setting tax policies”. Include some language in the recommendations that states “the Town supports agri-tourism as an effective light commercial endeavor that promotes successful business with a secondary benefit of maintaining open space”. Would apply to businesses like the corn maze. New Business: Nothing tabled. Plan Preparation Update: DPC will meet Wednesday September 15th, 2004 to prepare for public meeting 23 September 2004. Budget Review : Town Budget - 2004: Total budget: $2000.00 Expenses: Arc View Software $1300.00 Caledonian Record $ 57.60 Total expenses committed year to date $1638.78 Balance remaining $ 361.22 Close: Meeting was closed at 9:00 pm.
