Start:               Meeting opened at 7:15 pm

Previous Minutes:

Read by the Clerk and accepted by the DPC as written.

Public Hearings:       

Review of the “Energy Conservation” and “Compatibility with the Region” sections of the draft Town Plan was held. Minor changes made and forwarded to Landworks for incorporation into the draft plan.

New Business:

Danville has been notified that we were successful in obtaining a grant of $12,000.00 for 2005 / 2006 to fund a study and produce a land use map that delineates our current land use patterns and identifies the key natural heritage components that should be taken into consideration for future planning, development and zoning decisions. Solicitation for bids will be sent out in February 2005.

Plan Preparation Update:

Milestone plan put together to support submission of final revision of plan to the Select Board by 20 February 2005.

1.        Send copies of draft plan with cover letter to abutting towns, NVDA and State through Landworks by 23 Dec 04 – Action Derek

2.        Post plan on Town website by 6 Jan 05 – Action Jeff

3.        Put hard copies of plan in Town Hall by 6 Jan 05 – Action Jeff

4.        Post 27 Jan 05 Hearing notices in North, West and Danville Center by 8 Jan 05 – Action Mike & Jim

5.        Put 27 Jan 05 Hearing notice in Caledonian Record for publication 6,7,8 Jan 05 – Action Jeff

6.        Planning Commission to hold public hearing on latest revision of plan 27 Jan 05. – Action Derek

7.        Planning Commission to incorporate any changes to plan from public hearing  3 Feb 05 – Action Derek

8.        Submit revisions to Landworks – 4 Feb 05 – Action Jeff

9.        Submit final plan to Select Board 20 Feb 05 – Action Derek

 Contact Landworks and have them incorporate the required maps for the plan – Action Derek

 Select comments for each section of the plan from the “2003 Landowners Survey” and the two Town Meeting surveys that would be appropriate to incorporate into the plan. Target completion date of 27 Jan 05 – Action Kellie & Jeremy

 Send a copy of the draft plan to Linda Leone for review and comments. – Action Jeff

 Follow up with Historical Society for their input – Action Jeff

 Contact George Cahoon to see if he has any photos of Danville that he would be prepared to donate to incorporate into the plan. Need to display at the 27 Jan 05 Hearing – Action Jim
