                      Danville Planning Commission

 Start:                           Meeting opened at 7:10 pm

 Previous Minutes:            The Minutes from the previous meeting were read by the clerk and accepted.

 Public Hearings:            None

 New Business:       

 Conservation Commission (CC): Tracy Zschau gave a short overview of some starting steps for a CC. The town plan was cited as providing a basis. A CC is limited to an advisory or support role in a town by State statute. Recruitment of CC members and the development of a mission statement were discussed as an early activity. Taking charge of the recently delivered Town maps, printed and digital was encouraged. With the aid of the CC these maps could be a valuable resource to the DRB, ZA and BOS among others.

Town Meeting Survey: The PC had a discussion of the approx. 20 questions to be asked in a survey to be passed out at the 2006 Town Meeting. Kellie will draft the survey and circulate it among the PC for comments.

The public will be invited to the next regular PC meeting to view the results of the mapping grant.

The revised zoning grant has approved.

The NVDA review of the town plan is moving forward. Planning for warning and holding for a public review in Danville is starting.

Action Items: 

Zoning training session is to be scheduled. Derek will contact VCLT to set up a training session.  The DRB, ZA, listers, BOS and Mert Leonard will be invited.

Get contact name (Becka?) and meeting schedule for Rails to Trails non-motorized users working group.
