                             Danville Planning Commission

                                       24 January 2008

Start:               Meeting opened at 7:05 pm

 New Business:

Meeting attendees were split into two groups where Alison and Nancy participated in the Vermont Interactive TV seminar on Flood Plain issues and Jim, Kim and Jeff worked on the RFP for the Village Center Zoning Bylaw Municipal Planning Grant. The first part of the RFP meeting was spent with Ms Cook answering her questions on the Municipal Planning Grant and how we intended to approach the project.

 Kim presented her draft RFP and we spent the rest of the meeting adding the detail requirements of what the deliverable will be, what area will be addressed, what type of detail we will be looking for and how much public input will be required. Planning members to forward any remaining recommendations to Kim no later than January 30^th, 2008. Kim recommended that we organize a Steering Committee made up of residents / business owners within the Town that the Planning Commission can meet with periodically to bounce ideas off of and solicit input. There will be at least one public input session and will encourage residents and landowners to attend our planning meetings and share their views and visions on how the Village Center should evolve. Plan is to have RFP mailed by no later than February 15^th, 2008.

Jeff has been asked to attend the Select Board Meeting on February 7^th, 2008 to participate in the report to the Select Board on the status of the US Route 2 project. Attendees from the State Department of Transportation and the Vermont Arts Council will be in attendance.

 Budget:          

2008 Planning Budget has been recommended at $1,500.00.
