Start:               Meeting opened at 7:05 pm

Previous Minutes:

Read by the Clerk and accepted by the DPC as written.

Public Hearings:       

Review of the “Community Services” section of the draft Town Plan was held.

Solid Waste:

·                     Add “limited to Danville residents” when referring to certified stump dump.

·                     Reference both commercial and residential composting in recommendation #5

·                     Recommend an ordinance on limiting the number of unlicensed non agricultural vehicles on a property

·                     Make reference to supporting the “NEK Regional Solid Waste District Plan”.

·                     Add a recommendation to develop a policy on medical waste handling and disposal.

 Sewage Disposal:

     ·                     Clarify that Danville Select Board establishes current use and growth “within limits set by ANR”

·                     Adopt state septic tank regulations for private, campgrounds and restaurants. Gives authority to Town Health Officer to enforce.

·                     Include an occupancy permit requirement addressing new construction and all rental renewals.

 Water Systems:

     ·                     Recommend the Town undertake a study to review benefits of taking over the water system from the Prudential Committee.

·                     Should recommend that private water systems come under state recommendations and be part of an occupancy permit process.

·                     Define current boundary of the fire district and recommend that new constructions within that boundary should hook up to prudential water system and be required to support financially even if not used.

 Plan Preparation Update:

 DPC will meet Wednesday 11 August 04 to prepare for public meeting 26 August 04.
