 Start:               Meeting opened at 7:05 pm

 Previous Minutes:

 Read by the Clerk and accepted by the DPC as written.

 Public Hearings:       

 Review of the “Historical, Scenic and Cultural Resources” and “Housing & Population” sections of the draft Town Plan was held.

 The Historical Society was invited and provided valuable input on how they would like to see the Town address historical and scenic preservation. Margaret Springer / Mary Prior volunteered to re-validate the list of historic / scenic sites referenced in the 1979 Town Plan and provide some specific wording on preservation and definitions for design control. They agreed to provide this information by 31 December 2004. Upon receipt of the updated historic / scenic sites, Jeremy will produce a reference map to include into the draft plan.

 Historical Society was also asked to review their archives and provide pictures and key historic dates that can be used to dress up the draft plan.

 An argument was made to include representation from the Historical Society on the Conservation Commission and be part of any hearings that address changes / modifications to any buildings or sites identified as having important historical / scenic value to the Town.

 There was also some discussion on creating a Town fund to support historical preservation.

 Review of the Housing & Population section required only minor changes and will be incorporated by Ed.

 New Business:

 DPC Members asked to consider who might be interested in taking over as Clerk from Jeff in February 2005.

 Plan Preparation Update:

 Due to the advancement of the next scheduled meeting (Christmas), there will be no DPC working meeting.

 Advertisement for the Caledonian to be submitted by 30 November 2004 (Jeff).

 Landworks advised that they were still missing some revisions from the public reviews. Jeff will forward to Landworks and upon receipt, will review what has been submitted and what needs to be done (checklist) to complete draft.

 DPC will hold a working meeting at Jeremy’s on Wednesday, 15 December 2004 at 6:00 pm.
