Special Selectboard Budget Meeting

Minutes January 24^th, 2008

The Selectboard met at the Danville Town Hall on Thursday January 24^th, 2008. The meeting was warned in the Caledonian Record as well as posted on the usual bulletin boards in town. Michael Walsh called the meeting to order at 7:15 pm. Selectboard present were Marion Sevigny, Doug Pastula, Denise Briggs and Michael Walsh. Also present was Merton Leonard.

This special meeting was being held after the Budget Committee’s annual public hearing on Town and School Budgets. The Board discussed the meeting and the general comments made at the Budget Hearing, most favorable to the budgets presented. Denise Briggs made the motion to approve the General Fund, the Highway Department, and the Waste Water Treatment Budgets as printed and dated Jan 24, 2008, Doug Pastula seconded the motion, which was approved.

The Board reviewed the Town Meeting Warning, noting the increase in appropriation requests of close to $30,000, and pointed out that any increase in amount or new requests approved, would have to be added to the budget as only the appropriation amount voted last year are presently the budget. Marion Sevigny moved to approve the Town Meeting Warning as printed, Doug Pastula seconded the motion, which was approved.

With no further discussion, the Board adjourned at 7:22pm.
