Selectboard Minutes

Hearing on Revised Zoning Bylaws 

December 6^th, 2007

The Selectboard met at the Danville Town Hall on Thursday December 6^th, 2007 for a hearing on the Revised Zoning Bylaws. Michael Walsh called the hearing to order at 6:00 pm. Selectboard present were Marion Sevigny, Marvin Withers, Doug Pastula, Denise Briggs and Michael Walsh. Also present were Kevin Gadapee and Merton Leonard, and visitors Barb & Gary Fontaine, Melody Peterson, Mary Prior, Jeff Frampton, Allison Meaders, and the LSC television crew.

There was a general discussion about the bylaws and the statement that the revisions were mainly in the administration of the by laws in chapter 8&9. There was also a statement that it was a hard job to work on the bylaws, that is the main reason that the Planning Commission is doing it in sections so the work can be focused in one area rather than the whole bylaw at one time. Although there are only the changes noted above, the entire bylaw has to be readopted. However, at any time in the future, if something needs to be changed the bylaw can be amended.

It was noted that the minor changes that the Selectboard had requested after their review was incorporated into this final document. It was also noted that the notice of this hearing was duly posted in the Caledonian Record and at the usual locations around town. Hearing no further questions or discussions, Marion Sevigny moved to adjourn the hearing, Marvin Withers seconded the motion, hearing was adjourned at 6:06.
