Development Review Board The DRB has the authority to interpret and administer the zoning bylaws of the town and exercises all the functions of zoning adjustment and development review of the town. The DRB shall hear and decide requests for variances in accordance with 24 V.S.A. §4469(a) and appeal procedures under the provisions of the bylaws. In granting a variance, the Development Review Board may impose conditions it deems necessary and appropriate under the circumstances to implement the purposes of these regulations and the municipal plan currently in effect. The Development Review Board shall adopt rules of procedure and rules of ethics with respect to conflicts of interest to guide its official conduct, as required under 24 V.S.A. §4461(a) and Vermont’s Open Meeting Law. The Development Review Board shall have all powers and duties as set forth in 24 V.S.A. Chapter 117 to administer the provisions of these regulations, including but not limited to the power to hear and act upon: A. Appeals from any decision, act, or failure to act by the Administrative Officer and any associated variance requests as described in the bylaws; B. Applications for site plan approval, as described in the bylaws; C. Applications for conditional use approval, as described in the bylaws; D. Applications for rights-of-way or easements for development lacking frontage, as described in the bylaw; E. Applications for subdivision approval, as described in the bylaws; F. Applications for conditional uses with flood hazard areas, as described in the bylaws; G. Applications for planned unit developments, as described in the bylaws. The Development Review Board meets regularly on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall conference room. During the summer months they may meet on the third Wednesday also if zoning request warrant it. |
