"We can either be victims of change or we can plan for it, shape it, and emerge stronger from it." - Ed McMahon, Balancing Nature and Commerce in Gateway Communities The Town Plan is a philosophy for the future of Danville. Included in all town plans are ten elements required by state statute. These elements are: A statement of goals and objectives; a land use plan; a transportation plan; a utility and facility plan; a preservation plan; an educational facilities plan; an implementation plan; an adjacent towns element; an energy plan; and a housing plan. The Planning Commission has completed the process of updating and rewriting the Town Plan. They thank everyone for their input and support over the rewriting process.
