     Town Clerks Office open 8 to 4 Monday through Friday.

 Land and Vital Records

Land, Birth, death, marriage, and burial records for the town are recorded on a continual basis since 1796 to the present. Card indices are kept current to simplify research by attorneys, paralegals, as well as those interested in genealogy.

Other Records

Minutes of Selectboard, Development Review Board, Planning Commission, and School Board are also recorded here and available for public review.

Dog License

Licenses for Dogs or wolf-hybrids may be obtained at the Town Clerks office, renewal is required by April 1st of each year.  The dog must be vaccinated against rabies and a current rabies certificate present with the request for a license. License fees are  $7.00 for neutered/spayed dog and $12.00 for un-neutered/ spayed. After April 1st the fee is increased by 50%.

Marriage Licenses

Marriage Licenses may be obtained at the Town Clerks office.

Other Licenses

Other licenses available include Green Mountain Passports, overweight vehicle permits and tobacco and liquor licenses.

Voting

Election voting is held at the Town Hall every two years on the even years. Town Meetings are held at the Danville School Gym every year the first Tuesday in March. Any Danville resident that is not registered to vote may do so at the Town Clerks Office.

Property Tax Payments

Property taxes for the year of 2007 may be paid at the Town Clerks office during normal working hours, with the final date being October 25th. After this date the taxes become delinquent and will incur penalty and interest.

Other Payments

Payments may also be made at the Town Clerks Office for water and sewer rent.

Building Permits

Permit applications are available at the Town Clerks Office. The completed application is then submitted to the Zoning Administrator for consideration.
